SAMANNTHA'S COMMITMENT TO YOU
When I ran in 2017, I made commitments to residents. I’m proud to say that I made good on almost all of them.

Now, being re-elected, I remain determined to continue to fulfill my promises to you .
I AM COMMITTED TO CONTINUE TO:
-
reflect your input in my decisions
-
always treat you with honesty, integrity, and respect
-
make financial decisions in a fiscally prudent manner – always remembering that it is your tax dollars I am spending
-
inform you of my decisions and my rationale for making those decisions, both during council meetings and in my email updates
-
pursue strong county-wide gravel policy
-
advocate for a voters’ list
-
advocate for a finance/audit committee to provide financial oversight and to evaluate the effectiveness of the County’s expenditures and operations
-
not be intimidated or back down on issues that compromise what I believe are critically important to this community and the County
MY NEW COMMITMENTS ARE TO:
-
advocate for improved public engagement processes, including improved IT solutions so stakeholders can participate in public hearings remotely
-
advocate to reinstate advertising in local newspapers
-
pursue funding for third-party reviews of key technical studies in contentious development applications
-
work towards having the County take a much more pro-active approach to supporting our agricultural community
-
support initiatives to ensure that new development pays its costs, such as improved off-site levies
