Answers to RV Weekly Questions
This week, Rocky View Weekly asked candidates three questions. Candidates were given 50 words to answer their questions, here are my answers.

Q -Does Rocky View County's recent Aggregate Resource Plan go far enough in protecting residential impact?
It is a good start, but it doesn’t go far enough. Gravel isn’t a scarce resource in Rocky View, and many impacts cannot be mitigated. Council must protect residents while recognizing gravel’s need in society. I’ll continue to advocate for stronger safeguards that balance community well-being with responsible resource management.
Q - What should be Rocky View's future growth and development policies
Thousands of acres are already approved for growth—we must focus on developing these first. While flexibility is important, every decision must respect our commitment to protect our agricultural base and unique rural communities. With our strong financial position, we can afford to be selective and make smart, sustainable choices.

Q- How do you see data centres playing a role in Rocky View's future?
Data centres offer major tax benefits but must be appropriately located. With the need for on-site power generation, they raise serious environmental and infrastructure concerns. I will ensure Rocky View learns from global experiences, mitigates risks, and makes informed decisions that balance economic opportunity with community impact and long-term sustainability.
