ACCOUNTABLE
Being accountable means taking responsibility for one's decisions. My voting record speaks for itself. I represent you, the people I am elected to serve. You can count on me to stand up for what is right, ask tough questions, debate intelligently and make decisions based on big picture thinking.
Over the past eight years, I have vastly increased my understanding of the diverse issues facing Division 4. I have been honoured to work with many of you to create solutions. I value your feedback and pride myself on my ability to not only listen but to get things done. You are all experts in your communities. I don’t profess to have all the answers, but I am committed to listening to you and representing your views.
When spending County dollars, I am mindful that this is your hard-earned money at work. In these times of unprecedent costs and rising inflation, how we spend money is critical. I will continue to ensure that the process provides both transparency and accountability to you, the ratepayer. That doesn't mean mistakes won't be made. However, when that happens, timely corrective measures are essential. This important follow-up is where Councils have failed in the past. Simply building in contingency funding is not enough. Accountable decision-making requires councils to review and reassess the effectiveness of programs and policies and undertake necessary updates as new information emerges.
On October 20th, vote Samanntha Wright for Division 4 Councillor, Rocky View County!
